In a bid to increase the presence of BJP in the Telugu states, BJP national president Amit Shah came down to Telangana state and addressed the cadre in the state.
He called Telangana the gateway for BJP’s entry to south. He stated that he had confidence that BJP will take the reins of Telangana state in 2019, and said that the onus of this lies with the rank and file of BJP unit in the state so that it becomes a reckoning force in the south.
With the TRS party continuing to be strong and Chief Minister K Chadrasekhar Rao gaining in popularity, as one wonders how BJP plans to take this forward, Amit Shah speaking to BJP members of the state said, “You have three more years’ time. Take Modi government’s programmes and achievement to people at all levels. People from all over the country accepted Mr Modi and the BJP and I see no reason why such results cannot be repeated in Telangana after 1,000 days.” Party workers from 10 Telangana districts attended a special meeting held at Hyderabad on the occasion of two-years of Modi government.
Speaking at the event , BJP legislator G. Kishan Reddy alleged that Mission Kakatiya, though a good idea is suffering from graft and misdoings. He also accused KCR of showing a soft stand against the MIM leaders who are making controversial statements and hurting sentiments of the citizens of the country.
