Anushka will be playing the role of a great devotee Krishnamma in K Raghavendra Rao’s film, ‘Om Namo Venkatesaaya’. The first look poster of the same has been recently release to delight the audience. The film being made based on the life of a devotee Hathiram Baba will have Nagarjuna playing the lead role.

Over the years Anushka has garnered considerable fan base for herself and a stature that is equal if not more to a hero of the film. It can be powerful roles like the one she did in ‘Rudrama Devi’ and ‘Baahubali’ or the vivacious characters she played in films like ‘Khaleja’, ‘Mirchi’ Anushka has always put across the best, and the audience felt that the role may have been tailor made for her. Even in offbeat movies like ‘Vedam’ she has proved her mettle. Even if she plays a guest role, her stature and acting prowess help her shine through the few minutes she is on screen. An example of this in recent times is the Nagarjuna and Karthi starrer film, ‘Oopiri’ where she comes on to screen towards the end for just a few minutes and she dominates the scene.

Today, she is one of the busiest actors in the South, so much so that she could not adjust her dates for the iconic 150th film of Chiranjeevi. She reminds one of another actress who was an all-rounder, and who would win hearts with her good looks, great acting and processed a great ability to become one with the character she played – Soundarya.
