AP State may not get special status

J.C. Diwakar Reddy, TDP MP from Anantapur, known for his frank nature, on Saturday said the Center may deny the exceptional classification status to Andhra Pradesh.

Tending to a media meeting, Mr Diwakar Reddy said endeavors of every last one of MPs so far have arrived at a nothing and the Center appear to be least bothered about granting the special category status to the State. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Union Ministers from the State excessively were trying their hardest yet the Center keeps on being hesitant.


“I am even arranged to resigned if that can make weight on the Union government to concedeo grant special (category) status. Yet the Union government appears to be barely disturbed provided for its supreme lion’s share in the Lok Sabha”, he included. He was doubtful if the efforts of the State in this bearing would emerge even in future.

Inquired as to whether it would benefit any if previous Prime Minister Manmohan Singh decided to talk on the issue, Mr Reddy said :”The promise made by the present Prime Minister Narendra Modi itself remains unfulfilled. What would be the value for the words of a former Prime Minister ?”.

Reacting to an inquiry, he said near to 50,000 sections of land would be obliged to develop the State capital and not only 30,000 sections of land. “However, I am against procuring prime agriculture land for the reason. We should look at alternatives” he included.
