His movies usually are a nice mix of sentiments, humour and action with a lot of good music thrown in and she is one of the busiest heroines in the South of India. The grounded, sensible and always with a good word Daggubati Venklatesh teams up with Nayanatara, for whom it has been a long time since she acted in a straight Telugu film, for Maruti directed film, ‘Babu Bangaram. Marurti has earlier directed the comedy fare, Nani starrer, ‘Bhale Bhale Mogadivoi’. For both Nayan and Venky this will be the third film they would be acting together – the other two being ‘Tulasi’ and Lakshmi’ – both of which are super hits. So, the fans are hoping to see the duo getting third-time lucky.
This is the only release Venkatesh has this year. He will be playing a cop in the film – Assistant Commissioner of Police, and the trailer that has been getting good response since it released on You Tube (crossed one million views and still going strong when we last checked) – looks promising. The script seems to have been devised to combine the best of histrionic talents of Venky – his strength of comic timing, flawless execution of action scenes. The makers in order to capitalize on the good response plan to dub the film in Tamil too. Music composed by Gibran too is doing rounds online.
The film also casts comedians like Prudhvi, Vennela Kishore, Bramhanandam, Brahmaji, Jaya Prakash, Jabardasth Venu, Lakshmi and Rajitha – and so, the film will be high on comedy. If Maruti’s earlier movie is anything to go by – expect a good family entertainer.
‘Babu Bangaram’ will release across theatres in India on Augiust 12, and the overseas premiere shows will be held on August 11 from 4pm onwards.
