Coming down heavily on the indiscriminate increase in the cost of education, noted educationist Chukka Ramaiah, decried the habit of charging exorbitant fees to educate children. It may be an every year feature, but that doesn’t make it any less prominent, when parents associations in Hyderabad protest the rise in fees that only gets worse with each year. Ramaiah called Hyderabad, not an education hub, rather a den of robbers.

A massive rally was held on Saturday at Indira Park in Hyderabad protesting against private institutions that are charging huge fees and the government for not taking any action on them. Chukka Ramaiah was a part of the rally, when he shared his views. The rally was attended by students, parents and educationists. He further blamed a few educationists who are using children;s fee to buy their way into political positions. “By charging such high fee, they are looting the middle class families and are responsible for bringing them onto the streets,” he said.
