DTA – Deepavali event a Grand Success!!!

DTA has successfully conducted Deepavali Vedukalu. This event was attended by over 1000 people. Over 250 performers including children with wide range of talents enthusiastically participated in this event.



Traditional dances have stayed as the highlight of the event. Unique and creative Kuchipudi Dance Performance Telugu Hrudayavali  by Natya Dharmi foundation has enthralled the audience. Graceful and expressive Kuchipudi dance ballet performance of Girija Kalyanam by Abhinaya School of dance mesmerized the audience. Innovative and experimental choreography of Arundhati  kosam malli vachina Pasupathi in the lines of Halloween day fascinated the viewers. Well executed and enthusiastic presentation of Siri Muvvalu, Bhakta Prahlada and Mohini Bhasmasura were performed with equally competing talent and coordination.


Speaking about the activities of DTA in 2014, President Sri Venugopal mentioned that DTA conducted more than 20 events this Year. He pointed out that new and unique programs  have been organized this year in cultural, community services and sports. He indicated that new initiatives have been taken up in community service this year and will be continued.


DTA President Venu reaffirmed that Cohosting and collaborating with NATS a well known ETV Paadutha Theeyaga, apart from helping raise fund for DTA, has alleviated DTA providing visibility to all telugu viewers throughout the world. Ghantasala Samarpanam provided gratification to DTA for promoting traditional dances. DTA’s resourceful and enthusiastic  support and coordination for TANA sponsored Volleyball tournament was good success. Huge participation by sports fans from neighboring states such as Ohio in Women’s ThrowBall is a noteworthy to mention. Other successful events such as Ladies Night, Rangoli Competition have stayed as unique and new for this year. Community service events such as Red Cross Blood Donation Camp, Medical camp with VT Seva and Child Car Safety check with GM are also newly introduced this year.  President conveyed that all this is possible only by passionate, sincere and the zeal of DTA Volunteers. He thanked the Executive Team for their dedication, commitment and coordination.


DTA’s most prestigious Sri Vadlamudi Venkataratnam memorial award was presented to Sri Peddiboyina Jogeswara Rao and Sri Koduri Chalapathi. 2014 Volunteership Appretiation Award was presented to Smt. Padma Sanam for her service to the community.


Members of DTLC were recognized and complemented for successfully conducting Telugu Vocabulary Contest for the past 8 years. DTLC has stayed as a feather in the hat for DTA in supporting telugu literature and promoting telugu language.


The 2015 DTA Executive Committee was introduced by President-Elect Srinivas Gonuguntla. Coordinators for few nominated positions were also announced on the stage.


Very elaborate and innovative Stage decoration with the Theme of Deepavali and Indian City lights in the backdrop was as a pleasant surprise reminding of dazzling home towns during Deepavali. This grandeur eye catching, nostalgic and spectacular stage decoration was provided by SIRIS Creations(Smt. Sirisha Uppalapati and Smt. Sirisha Ravipati).


Delicious and flavorful Food provided by SV Temple of Novi and Mrs. Kolluri Madhavi was highly appreciated.


Overall DTA Deepavali event was a grand successful event with an increased participation and a display of wide variety of telugu talents.
