A district court here order police today to register a FIR against two Nestle authorities and film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit and Preity Zinta, who have included in the Maggi commercials and capture them if needed.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Ramchandra Prasad guided Kazi Mohammadpur Police Station to enroll the FIR against the five and research the protestation. The court additionally order the police to go for capture if needed over the span of examination.
The request came amid the knowing about a case documented by lawyer Sudhir Kumar Ojha yesterday. The request had named Managing Director of Nestle Mohan Gupta, its Joint Director Sabab Alam and the three film stars Amitabh, Madhuri and Preity, who have highlighted in Maggi advertisements at various times.
The complainant claimed that he acquired Maggi from a shop at Lenin chowk of Muzaffarpur on May 30 and that he became sick after he ate it. This incited him to record a body of evidence against Nestle, the producer of the noodles and the film stars who are the product brand ambassadors. Lenin Chowk falls under Kazi Mohammadpur police headquarters.
The case has been filed under IPC sections 270 (malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 273 (sale of noxious food or drink), 276 (sale of drug as a different drug or preparation) and 420 (cheating and dishonesty).
