It has been only recently that the shooting for Balakrishna’s ambitious project ‘Gautamiputra Sathakarni’ began, and the pace at which it is happening is indeed surprising considering the scale of the project. The film has already completed the first schedule. The first schedule was shot at the historic city of Morocco that has some amazing locations and the famous Atlas Studios, where many Hollywood movies are shot. It is the first such Telugu film, according to sources.
The biggest extravaganza of recent times, in Telugu, Bahubali took two years to complete, and the shooting for Part 2 is taking more than the estimated budget and time. On the other hand is this huge project helmed by director Krish being shot at feverish pitch. The film boasts of huge sets, massive cast, extravagant costumes and amazing special effects. From May 30 the shooting will commence in Hyderabad, where a huge warship set has been erected near Chilkur Balaji Temple. For this schedule 200 artistes will be learning sword fight under the guidance of fight masters Ram Laxman. In fact this prestigious 100th film of Balakrishna will release even before Baahubali Part 2, and going by the dedicated effort by ‘Gautamiputra…’ it is going to raise the bar for Rajamouli.
