It will be a double support for India at the forthcoming 88th Academy Awards. After Chaitanya Tamhane’s Marathi film ‘Court’, Actor  Esha Deol starrer Kannada film ‘Care Of Footpath 2′ has been chosen as a lateral entry for the Academy Awards. The actress’s mom Hema Malini says it’s a “proud” moment for her. Coordinated by Guinness World Record making director Kishan Shrikanth, best known by his screen name Master Kishan, ‘Care Of Footpath 2’ is a spin-off of the 2006 film ‘Care of Footpath’ furthermore includes actress Avika Gor. Hema took to Twitter on Saturday to share the news.


‘Care of Footpath 2’ will release in Hindi as ‘kill Them Young’. “Court” has been reported as India’s official passage in the Best Foreign Language Film class for Oscar.

All India release in Nov. Esha plays the role of Meera, a bold advocate fighting for justice.1st time a Kannada film has won an Oscar entry!

Premiere will be in LA, USA. In Oct. before release in India. The movie will be released in Hollywood style with a lot of fanfare!
