KCR announce 43 % salary hike for GOVT employees

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday reported 43 percent fitment, hike in the fundamental pay, to the State Government employees as a feature of actualizing the 10{+t}{+h}pay Revision Commission (PRC) proposals.

Seen as his New Year bonanza, however late by a month, to the representatives, the increment in pay scales is prone to trouble the exchequer by about Rs. 6,500 crore a year. The workers would get the new pay rates with review impact from June 2, 2014.


On the other hand, the overdue debts would be kept into their General Provident Fund (GPF) records and they would get the new pay rates from March.

The Finance Department would issue fundamental requests conceivably on Friday, he said. Making the advertisement in the midst of tremendous commendation from the pioneers of different representatives’ relationship in the wake of holding a gathering with them, the Chief Minister said it was the first pay amendment to the Telangana workers after arrangement of the new State. “Never in the past such a tremendous fitment was given to the workers and the present increment is beyond their desires”, he said.
