Watching mahaanaTi is a great experience. Every character in the movie performed very well. Keerthy Suresh and Dulqer Salman’s performance is par excellence. We can not imagine any heroine in mahaanaTi role after watching the movie. She transformed so well in the movie as mahaanaTi Savitri. I could not imagine watching a 3 hours movie without blnking an eye for a second. There was pindrop silence for the entire duration in the theater. All age groups are equally involved and immersed in watching the movie.
They have done so much research to portay the chracter on silver screen. Savitri garu is a left hander and they showed her using left hand for giving autographs to fans, signing bank checks, income tax papers, property documents, etc. At the same time, she is shown using right hand when she has to act in the movie for ‘నా పాట నీ నోట పలకాల శిలక’. Mahanati is based on the life of Savitri who appeared mainly in Telugu and Tamil language films but also worked in Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi language films. She was also the recipient of the Rashtrapati Award and was honoured at the International Film Festival of India.
I feel only the lunch scene with SVR during the sets of Gorintaaku movie in the entire 3 hour movie went out of sequence. Gorintaaku was released in 1979 and SVR died in 1974. Except this scene, everything else is excellent.
I don’t think any biopic movie did well at the box office after Gandhi movie. Sachin, Dhoni & Azharuddin movies did not meet fans expectations. This is the only movie after Gandhi that has done excellent job at the box office. Hats off to Savitri garu & Keerthi Suresh.
Great to see the popular names and characters KV Reddy, Chakrapani, LV Prasad, NTR, ANR, SVR, Marcus Bartley, & Pingali, in the movie 🎥. Going forward, Krish Jaggar should consider acting also.
If you did not watch the movie yet, please watch. This is a must watch movie for every telugu movie lover. When the audience enjoys your performance, you feel like a magician who is doing magic. It’s a great feeling! Keerthy Suresh you are Tollywood’s magician. One can learn do’s and don’t from mahanaTi Savitri life.
