The captain of Indian test team has made a place for himself in the top ten of the global sports fame list of ESPN. His name appears in No 8 position in the World Fame 100 rankings that covers sports persons from all fields, and hence evidently features a lot many football and basket ball players. Yet another cricketer to have found a place for himself and his game is MS Dhoni whose name appears in the 13th place. Yet another Indian player to have made it to the list is Tennis player Sania Mirza who is at number 41.
The list is based on a formula devised by ESPN director Ben Alamar, according to which the ranking is done based on salary, endorsements with social media following and Google search popularity.
Number 1 on the list is the football player Critiano Ronaldo, followed by the basket ball player LeBron James. The Third and fourth places are again taken by football players Lionel Messi and Neymar.
