Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao is in the US with a mission – to attract investments, and so far he and his team have been successful. KTR has managed to forge an agreement with Healthcare and Pharma companies, and an assurance of 100 crore investment. The agreements were made with Genis Pharmaceuticals and Eclat Healthcare, the latter agreeing to create employment for around 1000 people.
KT Rama Rao along with the Indian Consulate General Ausaf Sayeed met the Illinois Deputy Governor Trey Childress and explained Telangana investor friendly policies, and the income tax policies. He later announced that the deputy governor showed interest in partnering with Telangana in the field of innovation. He showed particular interest in the T-hub back in Hyderabad.
KTR also met the mayor of Carmel city, and looked into the administration process that is done through an Application (app), and discussed about waste management and civic amenity projects.
As we wonder to what extent the agreements and foreign trips will yield results, it will serve KT Rama Rao well if he focuses on the quality processes adopted by the clean and developed cities in the US, and try and emulate the same back home – as a part of our smart city endeavour
