The division of Telangana state into new districts is being done in a scientific manner by taking into consideration the Google maps. These maps will be used to divide the state into new districts, Mandals and Revenue divisions. A six-member committee in each district is formulating the geographic limits, and for this the help of NRSA (National Remote Sensing Agency) is also being sought. There may be 2 – 3 proposals regarding division, which are being taken into consideration, and then the geographical borders will be decided. Later important details like the availability of water for cultivation, forest cover, mineral wealth, railway stations, highways, temples, tourist places will all be added.

Currently various proposals are being considered, and maps with 24 – 26 districts have been taken picture and maps drawn accordingly. The final list for districts, mandals and revenue divisions should be finalized before June 20, decided Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao.
