“In the event that you can’t tell a story before three minutes, it isn’t a story,” is the thing that is by all accounts director Mani Ratnam’s mantra.

This has been revealed by lyricist Vairamuthu, who is penning on the lyrics of the film makers’s up  coming O Kadhal Kanmani, in a feature that has been transferred on the web.

“Mani has never narrated to me a story over three minutes. Much the same as how his dialogs are short and to the point, so is his method for narrating. Nonetheless, once he finishes it, I get full handle of the story he needs to pass on.”

The film, which offers Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menon in lead parts, is a romance.

“It’s around two characters and their love and mentality. Mani outlines the diagram and I imagine  the visuals. That is Mani Ratnam’s bani. It’s a delightful love story, a type that he has succeeded in before and will do as such once more, I’m certain, with O Kadhal Kanmani,” Vairamuthu said. The music of the film by A.R. Rahman is expected to be out later this month.
