Masaan gets standing ovation at Cannes

Director Neeraj Ghaywan and artist Richa Chadha were left heartbroken when their Indian film “Masaan” got a five-moment long overwhelming applause at the progressing 68th Cannes International Film Festival.



Richa, who last went to the Cannes affair for ‘Packs of Wasseypur’, took to small scale blogging webpage Twitter to express her sentiments taking after the screening of screening of ‘Masaan’ on Tuesday night. “Got teary at the 5 minute-long standing ovation. Thank you everyone. @ghaywan, first thanks to you,” Richa posted on Tuesday night, alongside a feature of the adulation.

Sharing his glad minute at Cannes, Ghaywan tweeted, “Broke down at the unstoppable applause. Thanks everyone! Missed you so much @anuragkashyap72, editor @nitin_baid, DP @avinasharun20! #Masaan. (sic)” “I am buried under so many mentions.  This is going to take a while. But thank you each and everyone for all the love for #Masaan (sic),” he added.
