Telangana State BJP leaders are extremely enthusiastic about their leader and prime minister of India Narendra Modi’s visit on August 7.
The State BJP party has convened a meeting to chart out a plan to ensure that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Telangana is a success. In fact Modi’s visit is also being looked at as a bid to strengthen the party in the state and BJP leaders plan to use this opportunity to bring into focus the central funds that are being pumped into many state projects unlike what TRS would like people to believe. They allege that TRS is not just diverting central funds, but also fails to acknowledge the role of centre in many projects. MLA Prabhakar shared that the centre was contributing about 50 per cent of funds for pensions, 55 per cent funds for rice scheme and nearly 60 per cent for scholarships.
In fact since the formation of Telangana state for many months TRS President and Chief Minister of Telangana K Chadrasekhar Rao and the party has been charging the PM to be partial to the estranged state and wanted to know why Modi never visited Telangana. In addition to trashing the allegation, Modi’s visit will also include providing direction to the party, and the leaders and party workers are looking forward to this trip. After Modi it will be Amit Shah who will be visiting Telangana in September.
