Obscenity case against Sunny Leone

Bollywood actress Sunny Leone has been occupied by Dombivali police in Thane for asserted dissemination of obscene content on web and Social Networking sites.

As indicated by a police discharge on Friday, the offense was enlisted on Thursday night against the actress under segments 292, 292 A, 294 r/w 34 of the IPC other than being charged under Section 3 and 4 of Indian Representation of Women and IT Act.


The offense was enrolled in light of an objection by one Anjali Palan (30) a housewife who expressed that while surfing the web she discovered a few indecent posts and photos of the on-screen character, they said. Likewise, Ms. Palan discovered “frightful” material on the on-screen character’s site.

“Such posts harm the psyches ofpeopleand particularly youngsters,” she said in her protest. The Dombivili police has exchanged the case to the Cyber Crime cell of Thane police for further test, the released said.

The previous grown-up motion picture star was in the city couple of weeks back to promote her recent film ‘Ek Paheli Leela.’
