A Maha Aarati is being planned during the Krishna Pushkaralu just as it was done during the Godavari Pushkaralu. Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu reviewed the various works undertaken to make Pushkaralu a smooth affair. He expressed his wish that the event should enhance the prestige of the new capital. Krishna river flows through three districts covering 16 mandals. The government of AP is building 81 ghats. On July 19th the Krishna Aarati will be conducted in a traditional manner amidst veda pundits who will be dressed in a special manner; the dresses will be designed by NIFT.
The CM has instructed to clean up the Bhavani Islands area, create greenery on both sides of the railway track in Vijayawada, widen the highways with the help from railway department, ensure abundant water in the river, beautify Prakasam barrage with lights, and above all complete the works within given time. He reminded that only 50 days are left for the works to finish and asked the municipality to decide on the barricades, and mentioned that there needs to be co-ordination between the various departments.
It will serve well to remember the fiasco at Rajahmundry during Godavari Pushkaralu and ensure that huge crowds are counted in while making the plans.
