It was an association with a difference. AP State Government entered into an agreement with the Milk Mission Project of University of Pennsylvania in order to enhance the cattle population and augment milk production in the state.


A delegation from the university came down to Andhra Pradesh, met the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and signed an agreement to this effect. The university will give training in technology that increases cattle production through artificial insemination and milk production by feeding high quality fodder.

Chief Minister declared that the technology from Pennsylvania University will be used in breeding the indigenous Ongole bull and Punganuru cow as well. And he emphasized on the importance of high quality live stock and dairy development to the economy of Andhra Pradesh.
