President confers Bharat Ratna to Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been confered with India’s most elevated non military personnel respect, the Bharat Ratna by the President of India Pranab Mukherjee at his residency on 6 Krishna Menon Marg in New Delhi.

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah tweeted: “My heartfelt congratulations to Vajpayee Sahib & his family on the day he receives the Bharat Ratna. It was an honour to serve under him.”
