The recent comments of Professor Kodandaram against TRS and the failure of the Telangana government in addressing farmers’ issue, gave rise to much ire from the TRS leaders. While some said that he is playing into the hands of opposition, there were those who leveled a variety of allegations and abuses. On the other side, as it was obvious Telangana TDP and Congress parties came in support of Kodandaram. TDP working president A Revanth Reddy said that Kodandaram was fighting for people and wondered how the ruling part is trying to malign him since he was the driving force who united people under JAC to fight for separate Telangana.

Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy joined his team mates in his lashing out against the professor calling his comments. He reminded that chief minister is toiling day and night for welfare of SC, ST, BC and Minorities in the state.

Joint Action Committee has decided to convene an urgent meeting to discuss in detail the allegations and accusations made against Professor Kodandaram, and finalise its future strategy. Professor Kodandaram would hold a press conference and will clarify on the charges leveled against him
