An RTI Activist field a complaint  with Union Home Ministry requesting that Sai Ali Khan be stripped of the Padma Shri honor which was given to him in 2010 after being included in an asserted open fight at a restaurant. In return, Home Ministry seeked necessary information from Mumbai Police about the fight case and examining the demand  to take back the grant.

When she was asked to react on the controversy, Kareena Kapoor guaranteed that the National honor was offered on Saif sufficiently after exploration by the Indian Government. “Saif is pretty relaxed and okay to give Padma Shri award back,” kareena said.

Saif Ali Khan and Two of his Friends had alleged beaten up  a South Africa-based Businessman and his Father-in-Law at a Colaba lodging in Feb 2012. A case was booked against trio under various sections and Mumbai’s metropolitan court is yet to deliver the verdict.
