Serena Williams is back in form as she leaves her bad spell of this year behind and crosses over to the 22nd Grand Slam win, as wins her seventh Wimbledon crown on the Grass court. She was stuck on the 21st Grand Slam and was faltering over her movies during the other tournaments this year, with people wondering if it is indeed a pause to her remarkable career.
Proving her detractors wrong, Serena Williams pushed past Angelique Kerber in an exciting match lasting a total of 81 minutes, and her win was marked by 39 winners and 13 aces. While Kerber was indeed a worthy opponent who gave some tough moments to Serena; by clinching the Wimbledon title for 2016, she had equaled popular tennis star Steffi Grafs open era record.
In fact before this tournament, world champion Serena Williams was losing out on other important Grand slams including the recent Australian Open Tournament where she had lost to the same Kerber. And hence it was indeed a sweet revenge for her.
