SikenderSikindar is bilingual Tamil and Telugu film starring Suriya and Samantha, Anjaan is the title in Tamil and released on 15th August 2014with 170 Minutes duration. Check the review below…

Krishna (Suriya) comes to Mumbai from Kanya Kumari in search of his brother Raju Bhai (Suriya) who lives there, Raju Bhai and his friend Chandu (Vidyut Jamwal) are rising dons in Mumbai. Chandu and Raju Bhai both gets killed in different situations, Krishna comes to Mumbai to know who killed them. How Krishna finds the killer is rest of the story which will be followed by twists and turns.

What can one say about an artist like Suriya. He has carried the whole film flawless and he is the sole reason for bearing the movie till the last apart from some decent performances. He looks extremely stylish in this movie. His variations are super cool.

Samantha looks Ultra glamorous in this movie. She doesn’t have any connection with the movie. But fills in the much needed glamour quotient for a stylish entertainer along with Chitrangada Singh who did an item song.

There is a huge cast set up for this movie in the likes of Dalip Tahil, Manoj Bajpai, Soori, Murali Sharma, Asif Basra. They had done a neat job.

Vidyut Jamwal is too good in his role and is a perfect side-kick to Raju Bhai (Suriya). Brahmanandam has got lesser role and is totally wasted.

Cinematography and Music stands out in the technical side. Santosh Sivan and Yuvan Shankar Raja has excelled in their respective departments. Linguswamy has not done justice to any of his departments. Story of this film has been in the film industry nearly from some decades. Miserable thing is that, Screenplay has not added any novel thing to the script, further acted as hindrance. Direction goes wayward in the second half though it is decent in the first half. Such a calibre, Linguswamy has, this is not the kind of product we can expect from him.

Rich production values has brought granduer look to the whole movie.

Sikindar is one kind of movie, which we expect to entertain you to the core but irony is that it disappoints you to the same extent with the expectation you go with. Suriya is a lone warrior for this movie to get succeeded against all the odds in his own movie. There are some complimenting roles though, but looks miniscule with the let down the script and execution has provided. On the whole, Sikinder has a very limited chance to survive. Disappointing stuff from Linguswamy.
