TAGC 2014 Annual Picnic

TAGC organized their 2014 Annual Picnic on a beautiful day of 21-Jun-2014 at St’ James Farm in Warrenville. It was widely attended by over 500 people. The highlights were the awesome spread of fresh onsite cooking options, special attendance by Chicago’s own VahrehVah chef Sanjay Thumma, cooking competition and sports activities.

Event was well organized started with decorations and all logistics taken care by Srinivas Pedamallu, Hari Raini, Ramesh Garapaty, Jagan Bukkaraju, Raghav Jatla, Ram Ade and Ravi Upad. Registration desk was well completely handled by the youth committee. The food was cooked onsite coordinated by food committee Raghav Jatla and Dinkar Karumuri with many crowd favorites such as hot Mirchi Bajji, Onion Pakora, few varieties of Dosas, BBQ Tandoori Chicken, Corn and various other desserts and accompaniments.


Many volunteers came forward and the TAGC BODs came and helped in food serving, and ensuring that the guests were taken care of. After a sumptuous lunch, Vahrevah chef Sanjay Thumma who was a long term associate of TAGC came as a special guest and was a judge at the cooking competition, thanks to Sujatha Appalaneni and Padma Madireddy. The cooking competition was won first prize by Vijaya Lakshmi Achanta for mouth watering Madatha Kaaza and 2nd prize by Anasuya Reddy for delicious Chicken Curry. Mr. Sanjay said that all cooks are winners and were invited to be part of his show when they come and visit Hyderabad.


There were lot of Men, Women and Kids activities and competitions which were conducted by Sports committee co-chair Pradeep Kandimalla, Kiran Mattey, Malathi Damaraju, Pavithra Karumuri and Malleswari Pedamallu. Many adults participated in playing Ring tournament for Women, Water balloon game, Lemon and Spoon, Volley Ball and many other activities.


After a long day, kids and adults queued up to eat some great tasting watermelon, and for a fresh Indian Chai. The event was a grand success and everyone who attended provided great compliments. Weather co-operated very well and lasted through the cleanup. Yet another great event of TAGC in 2014 under the leadership of TAGC President Srinivas Pedamallu and at the end, he thanked all TAGC Community for their participation and all TAGC BoDs including Narendar Chemarla, Murthy Pisipati, Siva Pasumarthi and Anji Reddy for their support.
