TAGC celebrated Seniors’ cultural night in a grand scale

DSC_0202Aurora, Ill. Telugu Association of Greater Chicago (TAGC) celebrated CATS (Chicago Area Telugu Seniors) Cultural night and SahitiSadassu on Aug 2nd at Balaji Temple in Aurora, Illinois. The festivities were attended by 300 Telugu Seniors, and included all performances by sSeniors.

The stage was decorated with strings of beautiful flowers with a Deepam and lots of lotuse’s. PThe people from all ages were very much entertained with the amazing performances like skits, singing, dances and plenty more. The registration desk was completely handled by TAGC Youth committee at the entrance of the Auditorium entrance. The programs kicked off with an introductory message from TAGC-CATS committee Chair Bhargavi Nettem and TAGC President Srinivas Pedamallu. Then the singing of the American and Indian national aAnthems followed by performance of local talents. Rocking performances including included Swagatam Suswagatam which showed how all the Indians camped to America devolved themselves. Another literature session was Saahithi Sadassu which wasis about all great Indian poetry. All the programs were The night wa sMC’ed by Lakshmi Damaraju. The Performances continued for about 3 hours and was ended by ina grand finale of Lungi Dance Choreographed by Prasuna Vootkur. The event was wrapped up with a Vote of Thanks by Hari Raini and Ananth Vootkur. Then, everyone enjoyed a delicious food dinner which including includedmouth watering Mysore Bonda, Vegetable Biryani among other items from Masala Restaurant,’s which was served by plenty of volunteers.



TAGC President Srinivas Pedamallu congratulated CATS Committee members BhargaviNettem, Ramesh Garapaty, Jagan Bukkaraju, Hari Raini and other Seniors who helped organizeing the event and also thanked TAGC Executive Team and BoDsKalyanAnandula, Ram Ade, SujathaAppalaneni, Siva Pasumarti, MalathiDamaraju, Murthy Pisipati, Pradeep Kandimalla, Ravi Upad and Raghav Jatla for all their supportand inmaking the event as a grand successand historical mark.
