TAGC 2018 Volleyball & Throwball Tournament

Telugu Association of Greater Chicago(TAGC), the First Telugu Association in North America has organized Volleyball Tournament in Greater Chicago area.
More than 350 participants from the greater Chicago area Telugu community came to Bollingbrook, IL on October 28th , 2018 to join the TAGC annual Volleyball & Throwball tournament. TAGC Volleyball Tournament has gained popularity over years in Midwest area which is shown by having participation from Michigan, Iowa and Minnesota states.
TAGC has conducted volleyball tournament in 4 categories Throwball for Women, Beginner Volleyball ,Intermediate Volleyball and Advanced Volleyball. We had 36 teams, 8 groups, 4 courts, 12 hours, 100+ games and 350+ participants!!
TAGC President, Jyothi Chintalapani thanked all participants in the event who had made this so special and memorable to each one of us.

TAGC Secretary Praveen Vemulapalli thanked all players for being through the end, with all their sportiveness and smiles. It was like a festival of Volleyball! It was raining Spikes all over, the games were so tight, was such a feast to everybody who was watching the games.
TAGC President Jyothi garu said, It is not about Winning or losing, it is about participation and making new friends!! That is what counts! We are very sure everyone had a memorable day to look back.
She conveyed special thanks to Anbu Sports Club, Punch Smashers, Justice League, Volleyball Addicts and Katana who game all the way from Peoria/Bloomington, Iowa, Milwaukee.
TAGC Executive Committee(EC) members thanked personally and conveyed Kudos to all volunteers Santosh Pindi, Santosh Konduru, Rohit Akula, Shashi Chava, Subhash Kakkera, Vamshi Yelamanchili who took care of diligently monitoring the games, tracking the wins and losses, updating scores, making sure teams and referees for the next matches are available on time and what not !!
Also, Praveen thanked TAGC Board of Directors Anji Kandimalla,Srinivas Kandru and EC members Ram Ade,Ram Billakanti,Venkat Gunuganti for their participation in trophy distribution, taking videos, serving food and helping in running the event successfully
Jyothi garu along with EC team thanked Vinoz Chanmolu- Hyderabad House at Schaumburg and Buffalo Grove for sponsoring the event and presenting the trophies to the winners.
