Tennessee Telugu Samithi Diwali/Dasara/Bathukamma Grand Celebrations

Tennessee: Tennessee Telugu Samithi celebrated Diwali/Dasara/Bathukamma in a grand fashion. The event started auspiciously with Ganesh pooja, followed by prayer song by Suchetha, Rithika, Yashwitha and Ramya and an invocation dance by Karuna Gujar. The well-wishing couple Dr. Dhananjaya Rao and Smt. Padmavathi graced and blessed the launching of the event.

Many Telugu women brought wonderfully decorated Bathukamma to the stage and did singing and dancing to praise the Goddess with color and flair. Specially selected highly talented cultural performances by young and young at heart were presented on stage to the fullest satisfaction of the audiance. Each and every single cultural item were proved to be second to none.It was amazing to see that there is so much wonderful Telugu talent living within Nashville community. Siliconandhra Manabadi that was started an year ago in Nashville presented a literary performance that was appreciated by each and evryone in the audience. Tennessee Telugu Samithi with the coopertaion of Siliconandhra Manabadi is encouraging local Telugu kids to learn and preserve Telugu language. Tennessee Telugu Samithi sincerely thanked Dr. Deepak Reddy for being food sponsor for the entire event for which Bawarchi restaurant cooked delicious food at a very reduced price.  The convenor of ATA convention of 2014, Mr.Karunakar Reddy, Anil Bodi Reddy,and Kiran Pasam not only graced the event but also helped the event by being a grand sponsor. Tennessee Telugu Samithi sincerely thanked Dr. Prem Reddy for being an another Grand Sponsor for this event. The President of NATS Mr. Ravi Achnatha and team of NATS representatives graciously attended and enjoyed the festivities. Tennessee Telugu Samithi is also thankful to NATS for being another grand sponsor. The event would not have been made possible without the support from local sponsors such as Cafe India. Dr. Dhanajaya Rao and Dr. Chakradara Rao honored both ATA and NATS representatives as well as sponsors of the event. The much awaited prime time event by Professional singers Smt. Mani Sastry (Houston), Mr. Krishna Prasad (Hyderabad)cand Rahul Sipligunj (Hyderabad) took off with excitement. The music that was presented by all 3 highly talented singers was melodious, foot-tapping and was thoroughly enjoyed by all age groups in the audience.  As a final colorful touch, the fashion show by Kids and beautiful women of Nashville was a run-away winner.

Tennessee Telugu Samithi president Smt. Revathi Mettukuru thanked the committee (Ramesh Aramandla, Ranganayaki Mudumbi, Latha Sashi, Kiran Kamatham, Soumya Gantyala, Harika Kanagala, Jyothsna Konda, Deepthi Konagatla, Rajesh Tatineni, Pavan Gantyala, Raja Vemuri, Aparnath Sesha, Sandeep Gondela, Sreedhar Karra, Uma Sappidi, Mounika Aramandla , Sushma PeddiReddy, Keshav murthy and Venu Singari ) for being so supportive and hard working to make the event a success and then she gave her heart felt thanks to the audience, the grand sponsors,local sponsors, DJ Mr.Sreenivas Durgam and all the volunteers (Vichu Nathan,Abhinav Raju,Deepak Subramanian, Pranav Saravanan, Nikhil Arun, Sudeep Ghantasala, Preston Johnston, Aditya Sathe, Avi Gargye, Eliot Forster-Benson) and Father Ryan auditorium staff. A wonderful human being Mr. Manjunath Shetty graciously volunteered to take photos and videos of the event and the TTS is grateful for his service.


The delicious dinner started on time and everybody enjoyed the Bawarchi food with family and friends.
