The latest movie that was released last Friday directed by a young director Tharun Bhascker –PelliChoopulu – had received a stamp of approval when Suresh Productions took it under its mantle, and the next shot in the arm when the entire fraternity of film reviewers who were shown the film ahead of its release (a rare feature nowadays) gave it a unanimous nod of approval – and with rave reviews around, the film still needed good openings what with the new star cast, debut director and it did not have the cushioning big star films have.
There was publicity in place, interviews were being given, advertisements appeared in newspapers, and finally the film released and it was indeed a great opening, however better things were in store as the weekend progressed. Word of mouth and experiences of people who watched the film shared on social media, celebrities and industry folks like Rajamouli, Rana raving about it – and above all good content, refreshing music, amazing performances of fairly new actors – everything worked for the film. And a small film became one of the biggest hits. The cast includes Vijay Devarakonda, Ritu Verma, Priyadarshi, Abhay, Anish Kuruvilla. The music is by Vijay Sagar.
