Actress Vidya Balan has rejected the offer to star in the biopic on Suchitra Sen as she felt she has no physical similarity to the late on-screen character. “I was offered the biopic however I am not doing it. I was shocked that it turned out in the media that I consented to do it and have even begun preparing in Kathak. I would have wanted to do it.. wanted to play her on-screen,” Vidya, 37, told PTI in a restrictive meeting here.
“I cherished the script yet I feel I have truly no physical similarity with her. It is a Bengali film so I feel Raima Sen, her stupendous little girl, who appears as though her, ought to be doing it,” she said. Vidya may have done this undertaking on the off chance that it was in Hindi. “In the event that it was in Hindi then it was still alright as you can take certain freedoms.. anyhow, it is in Bengali,” the actress said.
Purportedly, there was another biopic that was offered to Vidya on late Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. “I was not offered this film. I don’t know where this news originated from that I was offered this film,” the “Messy Picture” hero said.
