In IPL (Indian Premier League) 8 teams are playing every year.
- 1Delhi Daredevils
- 2Gujarat Lions
- 3Kings XI Punjab
- 4Kolkata Knight Riders
- 5Mumbai Indians
- 6Rising Pune Supergiants
- 7Royal Challengers Bangalore
- 8Sunrisers Hyderabad
We are selecting an average 22 players to each team and paying lot of money. We are taking only 4 foreign players and accommodating 7 Indian players to playing 11. That means we have 11 bench players in each team :). We have 8 teams fighting every year for IPL trophy. Total Indian players in playing 11 in 8 teams are (11X7) 77. An average we are paying 5 crores to each player no matter how much they are contributing with bat or ball!. Some players are getting almost 20 crores per year. most of these players from India who are playing for IPL never get the chance to play for Indian 11. Someone playing these entertainment matches (IPL) are able to draw tons of money without playing for country, then how much we should pay for people who represent India? How much we should pay for players who represent Olympics and get the medals?
In my opinion we should pay lot more than to Olympics winners of any category (Gold, Silver or bronze) compare to IPL players who never represent the country. Today our state and central governments are offering money to Sakhsi Malik and PV Sindhu who are pride of India and got Bronze and Silver medal respectively. We should not criticize governments about awarding cash prize to these winners. They deserve lot more than this. If at all we need to criticize we need to talk about dumping 100’s of crores in IPL to each team.
We don’t know who is representing our country? Who is fighting with who? who is winning and who is losing? all are million dollar questions still we are not questioning why we are spending this much money? But we are not hesitating to criticize 2 young ladies who are pride to India and because of them we are able to see India name in Olympics medals list. After seeing so much criticism about these girls receiving cash awards from Governments in Facebook and WhatsApp I thought of sharing my input.
